Alfonso Plata Hernandez, age 60, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Alfonso is preceded in death by his father Jose Ascención Plata Mother Maria Hernandez de Plata; Son Oscar Lee Plata; Brothers: Armando Plata, Raul Plata, Jose Antonio Plata and Jose Ascención Plata, Jr.

Alfonso is survived by his children Samuel Lujan, Krystal Plata, Zaelly Munoz, Janelly Munoz, Anahi Munoz, Axel Plata and His Grandchildren Alfonso Plata, Lana Perez, Rosa Perez, Alonzo Plata, and Samantha Lujan. His legacy will live on in the laughter, strength, and love of those he leaves behind.

Alfonso was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was known for his unwavering love for his family and his ability to bring laughter into every room. A natural entertainer, he never missed the chance to sing at family parties, turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. His sense of humor, warmth, and humility left a lasting mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In his younger years, he played baseball, carrying the spirit of the game—and the lessons it taught—throughout his life. He passed the love of the sport to his children and grandchildren. Alfonso achieved his American dream and became a proud successful business owner. He built his legacy, always keeping in mind that “life is hard… you’ve got to work hard, but if you do, things will be OK”.

He loved deeply and lived with intention, always putting others before himself. Whether you knew him for a lifetime or just a short while, his kindness and joy were unforgettable.

A celebration of his life will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, July 7, 2025 at the family property at 2323 Broadway Blvd SE. A Communion Service will be held at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at St. Anne Catholic Church 1400 Arenal Rd SW. Interment will follow the service at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery 2957 Arenal Rd SW where family and friends will gather to honor the extraordinary man he was.

He will be missed beyond words, remembered forever, and loved always.

Pallbearers will be Ramon Plata, Mauro Plata, Gabriel Plata, Javier Plata, Luis Plata and Gerardo Plata.

Alfonso es precedido en la muerte por su padre José Ascención Plata y su madre María Hernández de Plata: Hijo Oscar Lee Plata: Hermanos: Armando Plata, Raúl Plata, José Antonio Plata y José Ascención Plata, Jr.

Alfonso le sobreviven sus hijos Samuel Lujan, Krystal Plata, Zaelly Munoz, Janelly Munoz, Anahi Munoz, Axel Plata y sus nietos Alfonso Plata, Lana Pérez, Rosa Pérez, Alonzo Plata, y Samantha Lujan. Su legado vivírá en la risa, la fuerza y el amor de aquellos que deja atrás.

Alfonso nació en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México. Era conocido por su amor inquebrantable por su familia y su capacidad para llevar la risa a cada habitación. Un animador natural, nunca se perdió la oportunidad de cantar en las fiestas familiares, convirtiendo momentos ordinarios en recuerdos atesorados. Su sentido del humor, la calidez y la humildad dejó una huella duradera en todos los que tuvieron el placer de conocer a él.

En sus años más jóvenes, jugó béisbol, llevando el espiritu del juego-y las lecciones que enseñó- a lo largo de su vida. Transmitió el amor por el deporte a sus hijos y nietos. Alfonso logró su sueño americano y se convirtió en un orgulloso y exitoso propietario de un negocio. Construyó su legado, siempre teniendo en cuenta que "la vida es dura... tienes que trabajar duro, pero si lo haces, las cosas estarán bien".

Amo profundamente y vivió con intención, siempre poniendo a los demás antes que a sí mismo. Ya sea que lo conocieras durante toda la vida o solo un corto tiempo, su amabilidad y alegría fueron inolvidables.

Una celebración de su vida se llevará a cabo a las 6:30 PM el lunes 7 de julio de 2025 en la propiedad familiar en 2323 Broadway Blvd St. Un servicio de Comunión se llevará a cabo a las 9:00 AM el martes i de julio de 2025, en la iglesia católica de San Ana, Iglesia Católica 1400 Arenal Rd SW. El entierro seguirá al servicio en el cementerio San José de Armijo Cementerio 2957 Arenal Rd SW donde familiares y amigos se reunirán para honrar al hombre extraordinario que fue.

Se le extrañará más allá de las palabras, será recordado para siempre y amado siempre.
