Alice Baca

Alice Baca, 83, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, was called home to our Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 3, 2016. She was born on January 21, 1932 to Jesus and Barbarita Gutierrez of Chilili, NM. Her entire life was devoted to her family. Alice enjoyed having her grandchildren's sleepovers, as well as sitting and visiting with her family. She took great pride in her appearance and loved to have her hair and nails well kept. A great woman of faith, she was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Alice loved watching her novelas, traveling to many places, playing at the casinos, shopping, and spending time with her "Honey." Her beautiful smile and active spirit will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie, and daughter, Loretta Lucero. Alice is survived by her children: Margaret Lovato and husband, Danny, Maria Maldonado and husband, Andres, Gloria Venegas and husband, Roberto, Viola Jaramillo and husband, Jesse, Sr., Willie Baca, Jr., Sandra Baca, and Barbara Montano and husband, Felipe; grandchildren, Alicia, Erica, Jesse, Jr., Angela, Amanda, Willie, III., Felicia, Merlinda, Martha, Irlene, and Maureen; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 AM followed by the Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, Albuquerque, with Monsignor Richard Olona, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Willie Baca, III., Jesse Jaramillo, Jr., Lawrence Baca, Jonathan Baca, Brian Baca and Steven Baca.
