Obituary

Birdie Lee Mayes was a special woman dedicated to her children, grandkids and great grandkids. She was born June 09, 1943, in Navarro, Texas where she resided until she was 7 years old. She then relocated to Hobb, New Mexico where she and her brother Dwight were adopted into the loving Fraizer family. They then relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico in the south Valley where she grew up while attending Rio Grande high school. She then started a life of her own where she had her first son Paul Bell, followed by Patricia Bell, Mary Bell. She then found the love of her life jimmy D Mayes and had Jimmy Earl Bell. Birdie Mayes then moved to the Kirkland addition where she was working at Kistler-Collister, Levi Strought, and Sandia prep High School.

Birdie continued living life full of fun and joy with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids celebrating holidays and making great memories together. Having lived life full of fun and busting a move. She also enjoyed the small moments such as spending time with her grandkids fishing and even working on puzzles and also being a big fan of good Ol’ western Tv.

She is preceded in death by Cleo Patsy Armstrong her mother and father Artha B. Bell. Her husband Jimmy Mayes, her foster parents Earlene Frazier and Marvin Frazier. Her foster siblings Darlene Frazier and Marvalene Frazier and her niece Candy Bell and nephew Marvin Ellis. She is survived by siblings Dwight Bell (daughter Felicia Ellis), Jean Styles, Kandy Frazier, Billy Frazier, Kurtis Frazier, Dale Frazier, and Quinn Frazier.

She is also survived by her children and grandchildren: Paul Bell and his kids (Philip Archuleta, Nathinal Bell), Patricia Young and her kids (La Toya Bell, Gregory Young, Aaron Young), Mary Bell and her kids ( Royal Bell, Maurice Bell, Seville Bell, Tyria Bell, Tyshawn Patterson, Shi’rece Bell, Matryanna Peoples-Bell) And her son Jimmy Earl Bell. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren: Tiahla, Tiaudria, Nevaeh Latoria. Khamaryah, Natia, Zaquahla, A’mariah, Tyzearrius, Amari, Darrius, A’zon,Lleigha, Xscellence, Kh’xai, Amir, E’raeah, Aaron 2nd, and Na’maur.

Birdie’s family and friends will forever cherish her memory and all the beautiful moments they shared with her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
