Age 69, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015. He was born on November 23, 1945 in Albuquerque, NM to Edward and Maxine Groves. He graduated from Carrizozo High School in 1964 and moved to Albuquerque in 1965. He was an electrician who retired from General Mills. He loved hiking, treasure hunting, the outdoors, and "Grandpa Duty." He will be remembered for being a devout Christian, a loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and for always helping others in need. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Maxine; wife, Shelly; and a brother, Johnny. He is survived by his children, Dwan Groves, Joshua (Melissa) Groves, Caleb (Naomi Casaus) Groves, and Trevor Groves, all of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Bushai, Ronin, Jasper, Delilah and Maya Sophia Groves. A Memorial Service to honor Buddy's life will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
