Chris B. Saavedra, age 71 passed away suddenly on Friday, December 22, 2017. He was born on October 11,1946 in Albuquerque, NM to Cresencio and Ramona (Black) Saavedra. Chris was a life long residence of the South Valley where he was a loving husband and father of six children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a devoted and loyal friend to many people. He loved music and spending time with friends and family.

Chris is preceded in death by parents Cresencio and Ramona (Black) Saavedra, grandson Keanu and sister Mary Samlin.

Chris is survived by his wife of 31 years, Winola aka Wally; children, Kristi, Brandi, Jaime, Debbie, Gina and Michael; grandchildren, Miranda, Bowen, Dustin and Jaydon; two great grandchildren, Colton, and Kimber; sister, Estella Liguori, and brother Charles G. Dusing.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on January 5, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW. Celebration of his life will be following the mass at the Moose Lodge 2121 Edith Blvd NE, 87102. A Remembrance Ceremony will be Saturday, in La Jara, NM, highway 96 residence at 1:00 pm.
