Clara Kesner

Clara Mae Kesner, 97, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015. She was born in Sardis, OK and lived most of her life in Albuquerque, NM. She retired from the Albuquerque Country Club having worked over 25 years and receiving many commendations and promotions.  She was very generous and was a huge source of support in many ways. Clara was well loved by her family and friends.  She was a beloved member of Girard Baptist Church where everyone called her, "Teacher Grandma." She was a two-time cancer survivor. Clara was a woman of great strength and compassion. Now she has glory in Heaven. She is survived by her daugher, Kathleen McPherson, of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter, Jennifer Tolbert-Gallegos; great-granddaughter, Isabella Gabrielle Gallegos; nieces, Nancy Trompler, Lena Edmondson, and Susan Layloc; nephews, Larry Jones and Jimmy Dale Allen; great-nephew, Cole Weston; and many other family members and friends that mourn her passing. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 9, 2015 at The Southwest Church, 4515 Isleta Blvd SW, with Pastor Tony Chavez, presiding.
