Dan Perez

Dan Perez, Husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away on May 2, 2025. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Dianne; son DJ Perez, and his wife Kristin; daughter, Marlynne Gonzales, and her husband, Isaac; son Perry Perez; and daughter, Dena Perez-Duran, both of Wisconsin; stepsons, Timoteo Aquiar and Augustine Aquiar; grandchildren, Mariah Cruz, Rihanna Gonzales, Alyiah Gonzales, Isaac Gonzales Jr., Isaiah Gonzales, Christina Marie Perez, Waylon Freshman, Willard Freshman, Daniel Perez Jr., Eric Lovato, Jonathan Lovato; and the mother of his children, Mary Alice Garcia and her husband, Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Feliz Perez, and his stepson, Sammuel Aquiar.

Dan joined the Army and proudly served his country during the Korean conflict where he earned a purple heart. He spent the rest of his long professional life working for and retiring from, Coca Cola, The City of Albuquerque, and the Los Lunas public schools. He had a special place in his heart for all the kiddos he drove to and from school safely every day.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at strong Thorne Mortuary at 1:00 p.m., viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. Dan will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
