Danny Quick

Danny L. Quick, 69, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017. He was born on March 10, 1947 to Roy Dean and Melba Louise (Coffman) Quick of Albuquerque, NM. His favorite saying was, "He who dies with the most toys wins." He won. He loved his Harley and he loved to go snowmobiling. He proudly served in the US Army. He deployed into two hot spots in one tour. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment owner/operator. Danny was a retired Teamster, Local 492. He proudly drove over 11 Million Miles and had earned the 3 Million Miles Safety Award. He had owned and worked for Quick Brothers Excavating Services. Danny was a fighter and a miracle who survived several near-fatal health scares, including his 20-year brain aneurism survival. His smile, stubbornness and sense of humor saved him.  We will miss every characteristic that made-up Danny. Like he said, he had "FUN" written across his forehead.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Roy Dean Quick, and his sister, Brenda Sue Quick. He is survived by his mother, Melba Louise Coffman Quick, of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Danielle Neri and her husband, Mitchell, of Albuquerque, NM, and April Williams of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Antoinette Neri, Brandon, Gage, and Winter, Breanna Williams and Tegan Williams; a great-grandchild, Mitchell Neri; siblings, Randall Quick and Patricia Quick-Desmond and her husband, Shawn.
Viewing and Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 23rd at Strong-Thorne, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 24th, also at Strong-Thorne. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Danny to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
