David V. Michelback

It is with a heavy heart, love, and sadness that we must announce that David V. Michelback, age 49, has been called to eternal rest on March 10, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.

David was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 30, 1974, to Priscilla Michelback. Velma and Tony Michelback helped raise David from the day he came home from the hospital. To David, they were known as mom and dad who he loved as much as his mother Priscilla Michelback. At 3 years old, David was blessed to have his stepfather Benny Gonzales come into his life to help love and raise him, along with Fermin Gonzales who showed him how to be a hard worker. During his life on earth, he touched many lives. David was a loving and caring individual. David graduated from Valley High School in 1993. Although David did not have children of his own, he loved his niece and nephew very deeply and looked forward to seeing them graduate from high school in the upcoming years. David had an infectious smile and always made everyone feel like part of his family.

David was proceeded in death by his grandfather Tony Michelback, his cousin Ashley Michelback, uncle Anthony Michelback, aunt Sylvia Gonzales, and stepfather Benny Gonzales. David leaves behind his mother Priscilla Michelback, his sister Cynthia Gonzales, niece Anaylse and nephew Noah, grandmother Velma Michelback, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved and cherished him.

As family and friends gather to honor his memory, may we find comfort in the cherished moments we shared with him. May David rest in eternal peace, knowing that he left an unforgettable mark on the lives of those who had the privilege to know him.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Our lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church

Rosary 10:15 am, Mass at 11:00 am. The family will gather in the hall to eat and share memories of David.
