David C. Singer

David Charles Singer, 78, of Gallup, New Mexico passed away on June 29, 2025. David Charles was born on May 19, 1947 to Albert and Bernice Singer. He grew up in Freeport Long Island with his brothers Bennet and Joel. David attended the University of Wisconsin where his love of music created an opportunity for him to briefly be a member of the University’s concert band. He had remained an active alumni member and a huge fan of Badger football and basketball. David worked in radio and advertising for 40+ years helping businesses connect with their communities, crafting messages that stuck, and keeping local radio stations strong and vibrant. He was devoted to and proud of his KGAK family in Gallup, New Mexico during the last part of career. If you asked David what brought him the most joy, he’d say his grandchildren. His life became more purposeful when his oldest grandson Ari was born. He was shocked and thrilled with the announcement that Chelsea and Nico were expecting twins, 3 years later. 

Dave is survived by his daughter Chelsea and son-in-law Nico, son Alan and his grandchildren Ari, Ace & Luca, his brothers Bennet and sister-in law Marian & Joel and sister-in-law Karen.

 A burial service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd at 2:30 pm at Fairview Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank his community in Gallup for providing endless support and kindness through his final months.
