Edward “Buster” Terry Bogle, devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many, entered heaven on August 27, 2026. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor and often joked that his favorite title was grandpa because he just adored his granddaughter.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Linda; Children, Heather Bogle, Edward Bogle II, and Robert Slade Bogle; granddaughter, Brianna Dobias Bogle; sisters, Candice (Greg) Miller and Tamara Benton; many loved nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Dick (Barbara) Turnbough and Bob (Theresa) Turnbough, and sister-in-law, Laura (Stan) Gillespie, along with extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Leora Bogle, and his brother, Gilbert.

His life was filled with love of family, friends, and animals of all kinds. Ed was born in Grand Rapids, MN on January 12, 1952. During childhood, Ed found a love for hockey and played all the way through college. You can say he was “born on skates”. During college he was a defenseman for the Minnesota State Jr. College in Itasca County. His team was inducted into the Itasca Minnesota Hall of Fame in 2023. Later in life he coached and taught elementary-aged children how to play.

Ed, Linda and their family loved to spend time outdoors camping and fishing. They especially loved their special campground in Red River, NM where they often gathered and spent many special and remembered times. His professional career was with GE where he was a devoted employee for over 30 years. Ed retired from GE in 2010.

Though it is with heavy hearts, his family, team members, friends and coworkers will remember him as a devoted Christian and family man and who held on to his sense of humor until the end. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held in Ed’s honor at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday September 16, 2026, at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE, 87106
