Ester Mae Waller was born March 21, 1949 to Elva Harris and Dezel Harris in Loving, New Mexico. Ester was raised a strong Christian woman. Ester moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she began attending Albuquerque High School. Then went onto TVI, now known as CNM where she earned her Medical Coding and worked for a doctor's office. She was also a production supervisor at Digital Equipment for years, where they built computers. She had an associates degree in theology. 

Ester began her family legacy giving birth to her only son, Harlon Harrison and only daughter, Josolene Deanna Avila.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elva Harris; mother, Dezel Harris; brother Elva Lee Harris; her grandmother, Jesse Webb; two great-aunts, Kathrine Bradford and Geniva Greathouse; brother, Elva Lee Harris.

Ester Mae was a strong God Fearing woman and loving wife, an outstanding mother and grandmother. She loved helping everyone. She fellowshipped at Metropolitan Church of God in Christ. Ester truly loved her family in entirety and made life look so easy as she cruised on through. 

She is survived by Clinton Waller, her husband of 36 years, Harlon Harrison her son; her daughter, Josolene Avila; step son, Landris Caudle; her granddaughters, Le’Andra Rosenau and Myrissa Wilkins; only grandson, Tryvell Kenney; two gorgeous great-granddaughters, Azelea Gulley and Tarajah Wilkins; two handsome great-grandsons, Marcel Wilkins and Juelz Scott; two beautiful big sisters, Beverly Davis, and Gladiola Cook, and a host of nieces and nephews and her wonderful godson, Kevin Kenney

It is on this day May 19,2023 and forever more that we honor and celebrate her life, love and legacy.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Strong Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at Metro Church of God in Christ, 4800 Lomas Blvd NE. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
