Rev. Franklin Evans was called home April 3, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife Willa of the family home and six children. Two sons, Frank (Cecile) and Larry (Denise), four daughters, Juanita (Keith), Patricia, Barbara and Linda. Three sisters, Valadean, June, and Vera (Deorsey). One brother, Claud (Elaine). Seven grandchildren, Teresa, Micah (Bonnie), Sarah, Rose, Danielle, Wendell and Francis Tsoodle. Four great grandchildren, a host of other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday April 11, 2016, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Strong Thorne Funeral Home, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Funeral Services, Tuesday April 12, 2016, 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2401 University Ave SE, Interment, April 13, 2:15 pm, Santa Fe National Cemetery.
