Herbert Edmon III was born on June 17, 1970, to Herbert and Barbara Edmon after they moved from Texas to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the early '60s. Herbert was a unique baby; he learned to crawl and walk at a very young age. He loved to laugh and mumble, and by two years old, he would talk to anyone who would listen.

As he got older, Herbert spent his youth involved in many school activities, including basketball and football, where he exceeded expectations. He continued his collegiate athletics at Highlands University. Herbert was a loving, funny, gentle, and kind man. He was like his mom but definitely inherited his dad’s attitude. He had a few years of struggle but was able to overcome them. He worked toward earning his black belt at Isshin Ryu Karate Club and held many job skills, such as working at Midas for over 13 years. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Either he was playing dominoes, or listening to old-school music, and enjoyed going to the casinos—but as we all know, his true passion and peace came from fishing and growing his plants.

His life was filled with many journeys all the way to the end. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on through his mom, dad, brother, sister, partner, children, and grandchildren. Though he is no longer with us, his charm, laughter, and wittiness will remain within all of us who loved him. Until we meet again, rest easy. You will be missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
