Ida Oliver

Ida Anthony Oliver, a resident of Belen went to be with our Lord on October 2, 2016. Ida was born May 4, 1929 in Belen, New Mexico. She attended Belen High School and graduated in 1947. Ida attended secretarial school and was employed by the Belen Schools. While at the Belen Schools, she met the love of her life, Glenn W. Oliver and they married on June 6, 1953. She continued to be an active part of her community up until her death. She served on the Belen City Council for 10 years. She worked alongside her husband at the Belen Food Pantry and was a very active member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Rio Communities. She was a lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi and loved her sorority sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, Crawford “Tony” and Nella Anthony, and her husband, Glenn Oliver. Her daughter, Robyn Oliver of Roseville, MN and many beloved family and friends survive her. A memorial service celebrating Ida’s life will be held on Saturday, October 8th at 11:00 AM at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Rio Communities.
