Jacqueline Aida Staley (affectionately known as Jackie or Lynn), age 79, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026.
Born on March 29, 1947, in Madison, Wisconsin, Jackie was the beloved daughter of Harold and Goldie Opsaul.
She devoted her life to her family and to a distinguished career in the medical field, where she touched countless lives through her compassion, dedication, and leadership. Jackie worked as a nurse for 53 years and was respected by colleagues and patients alike for her professionalism, strength, and commitment to providing exceptional care.
Beyond her career, Jackie found great joy in gardening, baking, and supporting the arts as a lifelong patron. She was also a devoted animal lover who rescued dozens of cats and dogs throughout her life. Her warmth, generosity, and caring spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Frank Staley; her daughter, Heather Yoshimoto, and son-in-law, Michael Yoshimoto, and their children, Devin and Morgann Yoshimoto; her son, Christopher Staley, and daughter-in-law, Tracy Staley, and their children, Elizabeth, Tristan, Wyatt, Odin, and Oliver Staley; and her daughter, Tiffany Delio, and son-in-law, Kenneth Delio, and their daughter, Josephine Delio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Goldie Opsaul, and her brother, Paul Opsaul.
Jackie's legacy lives on through her family, her many friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her years of service and care. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A celebration of Jackie's life will be held on July 25, 2026. Additional details will be shared with family and friends as they become available.
