Age 91, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017. Rev. Joe Lewis, was the pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church for over 25 years, he retired in 2016 as pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where he served for seven years.
His is survived by his wife Vergie and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation Service will be held Sunday May 7, 2017 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Strong Thorne Funeral Home, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Funeral Service will be held Monday May 8, 2017, 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2401 University SE,
