John Philip Kelly
age 36, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015. He was born in Seattle, WA on December 29, 1978. He graduated from Kent-Meridian High School and proudly served our country in the US Army from 2002 -2005. He moved to Albuquerque, NM and joined the Albuquerque Police Department. John was very community service oriented. He always maintained a beautiful, loving and caring spirit. He was dedicated and hardworking. In his free time John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved sports - all sports. John is survived by wife, Morgan F. Kelly and their daughter, Rylan, of Rio Rancho, NM; children, Jordyn and Blake Kelly and their mother, Leah Kelly-Akata, of Rio Rancho, NM; step-children, Peyton Wise of Rio Rancho, NM, Kyra Cosman of Rio Rancho, NM, and Marcus LaCuesta of Rio Rancho, NM; parents, Pamela and Lee Anderson, of Kent, WA; siblings, Sarah Berryman and husband, Bryan, of Kent, WA, Emily Scogin and husband, Ty, of Kent, WA, and David Anderson of Kent, WA; in-laws, Mark and Susan Cosman of Albuquerque, NM; and sister-in-law, Terian Chertok and husband, Larry, of Westchester, PA; and many other family members, friends, and fellow law enforcement officers who will never forget his kindness and strong work ethic. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 2nd Street NW, Albuquerque, NM.
