Katherine G. Argyres

Katherine was born in Kalamata, Greece on January 19, 1937. She married George Argyres on June 12, 1960. They were married for 65 years and resided in Albuquerque. They brought four sons into the world: Constantine (Dino), Fotes (Frank) , Panos (Pete), and Demetre (Mater). She is preceded in death by her husband George who was peacefully called up to the Lord just 3 weeks prior and two of her sons, Pete and Dino.

Katherine was instrumental in the continued success of the Townhouse until its closure in 2018.

She was a lifelong learner who completed a bachelor’s degree in 1989 and master’s degree in religious and history sciences in 1997.

Katherine had said she would not be able to bury her husband, she held true to her word when she was called home to be with him and the Lord during his service on Oct 14,2025.

She will be eternally missed by everyone who knew her.

She leaves behind two sons, Frank and Demetres and 3 grandchildren, Andrew, Georgios and Shay.

Katherine leaves behind a legacy of love and respect that will carry on through those who knew her. Her funeral service will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, located at 308 High St SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102, on October 24, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery, 700 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106, at 11:30 AM.
