Lesli Ann Tulk

Lesli Ann Tulk (Abbott), affectionately known as “Les” or “Mama,” departed this life on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at age 60.

The youngest of three children, Lesli was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 28, 1962 to Natalie J. Turner and Charles L. Abbott Jr. She is survived by her mother Natalie (90), her siblings, Chuck and Cathy, and her two children, Tristan (26) and Thomas (24).

Lesli graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1979, and joined the United States Army in 1987. Serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Army was one of Lesli’s greatest joys in life. She was highly decorated, and won the honor of Noncommissioned Officer of the Year for the Army in 1993.

Among other things, Lesli loved caring for animals, and adored her two children. She was a devoted mother, and was very proud of the children she raised. She was a kind and caring woman, who showed the world so much love. Lesli brought laughter to almost every room she entered, and never took life too seriously.

Lesli was an amazing friend, and touched the lives of many who knew her. If you happen to have been one of the people she loved, please pour that same love and kindness back into the world in her memory.

Lesli is now resting peacefully with her late husband, Kenneth Tulk.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at Strong-Thorne Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

A small reception will follow.
