Lewis K. Renfro (L.K.) was know to his family and friends as June Bug (Junie) and Lou. He was born in Winslow Arizona on May 21, 1950. He was the fifth child born to L.K. and Faye Renfro.

Lou attended Albuquerque Public School graduating from Albuquerque High School in 1968.

His first job after graduating was Albuquerque Tennis Club with his Dad.

Deciding to further his education he enrolled in Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute. Upon completion Lou was certified as a electrician and certified air conditioning tech.

Lou was employed with Albuquerque first National bank where he serviced and maintained the air conditioners. He also was employed with Albuquerque Public School System as an electrician until he retired after twenty-five years of service.

While working at A.P.S. Lou received many appreciation and dedication awards for his outstanding service to the job.

After retirement Lou continued to help his family and friends whenever he was needed. He loved working with his hands.

Lou loved to fish with his cousin Lonnie and many other friends. Bowling was another favorite past time, his arms where so long when the ball was released it was half way down the lanes.

Lou had such a unique way of greeting Bishop, by saying “Bishop Jones you are the Man” with a big smile. Lou loved people and had so much to give.

Lou’s greatest joy was serving the Lord. He accepted Christ at an early age at the First Church of God in Christ under the late Pastor E.C. Cox. He was a member at Grace Covenant C.O.G.I.C. where he served on the usher board. He was a member of the finance committee and was ordained as a deacon on may 05, 2019.

To cherish Lou’s memory are his daughters, Sabrina Johns-Taylor (Kenneth), Kristy Faye Renfro; sister, JoAnn Price; three grandsons, Royal, Lamont and Jeremy; three granddaughters, Tationna, Kenyonna and Raniyah; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, L.K. and Faye Renfro; three brothers, Roy, Carey and Melvin; two sisters, Brenda and FayeLois.

Lou was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD.
