Lupita Sais

Lupita C. Sais, 94, passed away peacefully at home with family surrounding her on Saturday, November 19, 2016. A lifetime resident of Albuquerque, NM, she was born on July 16, 1922, the daughter of Tomas and Isabel Sanchez. She worked during WWII on Military airplanes, known as Rosie the Riveter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Desiderio Sais; father, Tomas Sanchez; mother, Isabel Sanchez; siblings, Tom Sanchez and Julia Padilla. She is survived by her daughter, Angelina Romero and her husband, Philip; grandchildren, Eric Romero and Gabriel Romero; and siblings, Eluid Sanchez, Pat Sanchez, Albert Sanchez, Angie Metzgar, Viola Candelaria, Suzanne Martinez, and Darlene Marsh. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Strong-Thorne Chapel. 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque.
