Lydia Larson

d. October 1, 2016

Lydia L Larson was born the middle child to Charles and Ressie Larson in the farming community of Mauston, Wisconsin in the 1950s.

She lived in 2 different countries and 3 different US states throughout her adult life, and in each location she worked in roles that served the people around her, from teaching to counseling to team-building to advocacy.  She retired in 2014 from her position as a Transition Specialist working with special needs youth at Manzano High School.

Lydia's battles with rheumatoid arthritis and a host of other health issues created ongoing challenges in Lydia's everyday life. She was a powerful example of tenacity, determination and self-advocacy.

Lydia was also a prayer warrior. She consistently followed the Lord's leading in her life, and by example, she encouraged others to do so as well.  She was wise, funny, smart and humble. She was and is a beautiful soul.

Lydia was a loyal and generous friend and a committed and loving aunt, sister and daughter.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ressie Larson and by her brothers, James and Eric Larson. She is survived by her sisters: Carol Flint and husband Robert, and Ellen Genne and husband Thomas; by her nieces and nephews: Robbie Bova, Tonie Warble and husband John, James Flint and wife Monica, Rachel Richmond and husband Travis, and Aurora, Larson and Sierra Genne; and by her great-nieces and great-nephews: Andrew and Tyler Wilson, Jack Warble, Cire Bova, Delila and Luke Flint, and Conor Richmond.
