Her family moved to New Mexico when she was very young, after a brief stay in California. Marian graduated from Albuquerque High School and attended CNM. Marian worked at Sandia Lab in management for several years until her retirement. Not satisfied to just retire she quickly became a community leader. She was the president of her area in the International District. She worked with Mayor Keller and the City Council. She worked with Kirtland Base on issues of the fuel in the drinking water, she also worked to get brighter lights and security lights in the Area. She worked alongside with other to clean up the parks in the community so that children were once again able to go and play. Her numerous other jobs included working at Macy’s during Christmas, working at the Isotopes games, working in an accounting office and helping her son George build his cell phone business. But her favorite job was working at the information booth at the state fair. She worked there until two years before her death. She loved to see all the people and talk to any and everyone that passed by or needed directions. Marian was a very talented artist and painted with friends at the community center. She loved Yogi, crossword puzzles, old movies, and mystery novels. Marian was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and a supporter of the children’s Christian home. She enjoyed going to their fundraisers. Marian was the mother of five surviving children; Constance Kent, Joanna Erni, Michael Jordan, Kathryn Miller (Terry) and Stephen Jordan (Meghan) and stepchildren; William McCoy and Olivia Taylor. Grandchildren; Terrill Johnson, Tracy Hill, Marcus Fisher, George Fisher, Kevin Thompson (Krista), Tenisha Erni, Natanya Erni and Amber Erni. Matti, Ashida and Tyrone Jordan.
