Age 91, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016. He was born in Chicago, IL on June 5, 1924.
Norman is survived by son, Alan Feldman, son, Hayyim Feldman; daughter, Alana Feldman; grandchildren, Vauna, Sarafina, and Harmony; great-grandchildren, Sigrid and Cora.
He served in Europe and was POW during World War II and received a Purple Heart. Norman earned his MSW in the mid 1950's in Illinois. He taught graduate social work at Columbia University and criminology at the University of New Mexico. Norman was program supervisor at Mobilization for Youth, Regional Commissioner of the Federal Youth Opportunities Program, and director of UNM's innovative Neighborhood Youth Corps Project "Willing to Work." He was a member and supporter of the Albuquerque Chabad Community.
