Patrick Wendell Pearson

October 11, 1963 — June 18, 2024

Ruidoso

Patrick was born in San Bernardino, CA on October 11, 1963 to his loving parents, Delbert and Ronda Pearson. Patrick tragically lost his life in Ruidoso’s South Fork Fire on June 17, 2024.

Patrick, a life-long singer, song-writer and musician, was lead singer, guitarist and one of the founding members of the Shot of Gold Band, a country-western band playing Albuquerque’s popular country-western scene in the 80’s & 90’s. Recently, Patrick was a member of the Brandon Dawes Band, playing all over the Southwest and a house regular at the Quarters Nightclub and Grill in Ruidoso, NM. Patrick’s musical talent encompassed every genre of music, but he truly enjoyed playing country music.

Patrick is survived by his three children, Hilary Mallak, Zach Pearson and Samantha Garcia, their mother, Donna Chavez, their seven grandchildren, his brothers Dan, Chris, and twin brother Paul, and many nieces and nephews. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert, and Ronda Pearson.
