Richard Webb

September 26, 1965 — December 8, 2025

Albuquerque

Richard Webb was born on September 26, 1965, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Tomasita Webb and Hamilton Webb. He was raised in a large, close-knit family and was one of thirteen children. Richard was blessed with six brothers—Hamilton Webb, Michael Webb, Cleve Webb, Larry Dean Webb, Hamilton Webb Jr., and Jerry Rael—and six sisters—Lavene Coleman, Jessie Webb, Rosie Webb, Bonnie Webb Emerson, Mary Lou Webb, and Annette Webb Brown.

Richard attended Albuquerque High School. At a young age, he left school early to work alongside his father at Bob Myers’s Detail Shop, helping support his mother and siblings. This early responsibility shaped Richard into a hardworking, selfless man who always put family first.

During his young adult years, Richard attended Youth Development, Inc. (YDI), where he discovered a passion for martial arts. Through dedication and discipline, he earned his black belt in karate and became an instructor. Richard took pride in teaching young people not only self-defense but also confidence, resilience, and survival skills, positively impacting many lives.

In 2000, Richard settled down from bachelor life and met Sara Anaya. Together, they welcomed a son, Richard Webb Jr. Richard also lovingly embraced Sara’s daughters, Kristy Anaya and Brianna Hernandez, as his own. He played a significant role in raising his granddaughters, Rayleen and Joseaphine, and later adopted Joseaphine, whom he cherished as his daughter.

In 2013, Richard began working full-time with Father’s Building Futures, where his dedication and perseverance allowed him to purchase a home for his family—a milestone he was deeply proud of. In 2025, Richard suffered the heartbreaking loss of his beloved partner, Sara Anaya. Despite this profound grief, he continued to move forward with strength, providing and caring for the children he loved so dearly.

Richard’s life tragically ended due to a traumatic injury after being struck by a vehicle. Though his passing was sudden and devastating, his legacy of love, sacrifice, and resilience lives on.

Richard is reunited in Heaven with his significant other Sarah Anaya and his granddaughter savanna, Faith Dunbar, father, Hamilton Webb; his sisters, Lavene Coleman and Jessie Webb; his brother, Jerry Rael; his nephew, Hamilton Webb III; and his grandparents, Jessie and Hamilton Webb Sr., Trindad and Maria Rael, along with many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Richard Webb Jr.; his stepdaughters, Kristy Anaya and Brianna Hernandez; his granddaughters Rayleen ,Joseaphine and Sara, Eliana Dunbar, his mother, Tomasita Webb; five brothers; four sisters; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
