Roy Eugene Brooks

Roy Eugene Brooks of Albuquerque passed away after a long illness on August 11. Roy was a graduate of Highland High School and attended New Mexico State University. He was a building contractor, private pilot, and proud member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas.

Roy was married to Connie Stroope for 66 years. He is survived by his wife and their three daughters: Natalie, married to Robb Mion; Cheryl, married to Tony Farrar; and Leslie, married to Brian Wright. His family was made complete by five loving grandchildren: Hudson Wright, Christian Farrar, Olivia Farrar, Elle Wright, and Gabrielle Farrar.

Roy was known for his love of animals, the lifelong friendships he maintained, and his love of country. He served as a Cold War veteran in the U.S. Coast Guard.
