Ruben Gonzales, a man after God's own heart, peacefully passed into his eternal home on July 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Clyde and Lourdes Gonzales, Ruben loved his family with his whole heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and preparing delicious New Mexican dishes, but his greatest passion was leading others to Jesus Christ and sharing God's love with everyone he met.

Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lourdes Gonzales, and his brothers, Mariano and Gene Gonzales.

He is survived by his sisters, Connie and Helen, and his brother, Dennis; his beloved wife, Marie; his sons, Randy, Everett (Nina), and Marc-Gabriel (Kelly); and his only daughter, Andrea (Tim). He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.

Ruben's greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren: Kelli, Stephanie, Senna, Aaron, Micah, Isabella, Israel, Levi, Selah, Talitha, Malachi, Caleb, Seth, Kiera, Sophia, Aycee-Marie and his great granddaughter Aria

Though he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, his family rejoices in the promise that he is now home with his Savior, Jesus Christ. His legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Ruben's memorial service and reception will be held at Strong-Thorne Mortuary August 18, 2026 at 11AM
