Todd Richard Christenson

October 6, 1964 — April 3, 2026

Albuquerque

For many of those who knew him he was a remarkable intellect and exceptionally accomplished. He contributed greatly to every endeavor he undertook. As brilliant as he was, as one of his colleagues stated, his overwhelming kindness was contagious. He was tremendously giving to his family and community.

Todd excelled in college earning his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin while focusing on LIGA Micro and Nano technologies. He joined Sandia National Laboratories where he was centric for their LIGA efforts. He embraced the MEMS community at the state, national and international level finally serving as the President of MANCEF the first industry association for the community.

He co-founded HT-Micro a very successful firm anchored in Albuquerque New Mexico. He has assisted numerous high-tech firms in New Mexico and around the world. He provided opportunities for UNM Anderson School of Management and UNM School of Engineering students. He worked with Robert Giassoli to support community college and tech training throughout the United States and internationally brining opportunity to thousands to embrace economic growth based on economically transformative technologies.

He continues to be remembered and honored by his parents Richard Walter Christenson & Cheryl Christenson, his wife Mrs. Anh Christenson, his daughter Lauren Christensson and a large group of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Todd's honor on April 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Strong Thorne Mortuary, located at 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. This gathering will serve as an opportunity for family, friends, and all who were privileged to know Todd to come together, reflect, and commemorate his life and legacy.
