Obituary

Velma Sepulveda was called home on July 10, 2026. She was born on November 10, 1958, in El Paso, Texas, to Hector and Micki Sepulveda. Velma later attended high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and graduated in 1976. During her school years, she enjoyed singing in the chorus, sharing a bit of her joyful spirit through music.

Velma’s life was centered around love, family, and caring for the people closest to her. She helped care for her nephews Michael and John while also working in retail for several years. Later, she lovingly lived with and cared for her parents as they grew older, offering them the same devotion and tenderness she gave so freely throughout her life.

Although Velma never married and did not have children of her own, her heart was full of the joy of watching her nieces and nephews grow up. She cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in being part of their lives. Velma also enjoyed dancing whenever she had the chance and loved spending quiet time watching movies.

Velma is preceded in death by her parents, Hector and Micki Sepulveda; her sister, Norma Grayson; and her brother, Leo Sepulveda. She is survived by her sister, Laura Sepulveda (Sultan).

She is also lovingly remembered by her nephews, John Sepulveda, Michael Sepulveda, and Gene Grayson. Her nieces, Michaela Grayson, Rachelle Rios, and Jessica Rios, will also carry her memory with love.

Velma was blessed with a large extended family, including 16 great-nieces and great-nephews, each of whom added happiness and meaning to her life.

Velma will be remembered for her gentle heart, her caring nature, and the simple, beautiful way she loved her family. She will be greatly missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
