Vickie Rae Nichols

Vickie Rae Davenport –Nichols, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, passed away in Houston, Texas after a prolonged illness on August 2, 2016.

Vickie was born on June 4, 1939 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Her parent were Frances and Jim Davenport. In 1958 Vickie was married to Michael P. Nichols and had 3 sons.

She is survived by her sons Mark and Jeff. She is also survived by her Brother Sonny Davenport and his wife Beverly. Vickie is also the beloved grandmother of Kathryn, Graham, Rachael and Great-Grandmother to Meagan. She is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews. Her Son Stephen passed away in 2014.

She loved her fellow parishioners at Temple Baptist Church and her coworkers at Roberts Oil and subsequently at Presbyterian Hospital Medical Records and Transcription. She loved our Lord Jesus and was a devoted member of Temple Baptist Church since 1968. The family would like to thank the family and friends who made a special effort to visit her in Houston during her prolonged illness, she appreciated this greatly. We ask that any remembrances in her name be donated to the missions at Temple Baptist Church.
