Victor M. Rodriguez Jr. was born on November 15, 1980, in Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor M. Rodríguez Sr., and is survived by his wife, Rocío; daughters, Miriam Alderete and Andrea Escudero; mother, Martha Estela Rodríguez; sisters, Alma Cecilia Ramírez (Adam), Martha Christina Rodríguez; nieces, Nathalia & Eliana; and nephew, Esai.

Victor was a man of compassion, loyalty, and deep love for those in his life. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. But his love of family didn’t end with his immediate family. Victor’s “chosen family” was enormous. He touched many lives in his 45 years of life, building lifelong friendships that remained in his life through his death. Victor epitomized selflessness and service for others, never hesitating to help anyone in need, at any time. Victor loved his people, and they loved him back.

Victor grew up in the La Mesa neighborhood where his parents put down roots. As a young boy, he could be seen riding his bike “Bluey,” alongside his neighbors who would become his lifelong friends. Victor was very creative and highly intelligent - he could build most anything, whether designing architectural plans or fixing classic cars. His greatest passion was restoring the family's classic cars alongside his dad.

Victor leaves behind a community of heartbroken people who will miss him dearly, but his memory and his example will live on in those who were blessed to have had him in their lives. Victor was an incredible human being. May the rest of us learn from his example and carry on his memory in our everyday actions and deeds.
