William Stanley

September 9, 1939 — September 9, 2019

William “Bill” Stanley, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on February 13, 2019.  He is survived by his children, Daphne (Andrew) Dubriel of Albuquerque, Richard (Trish) Boland of Missouri, and Paul (Melissa) Coverdale of Albuquerque; his loving grandchildren, Joseph, Christina, Dezaray, Meena, Victoria, Isaiah, Inessa, Shiloh, Thomas, Miloh, and Sofia; his sister, Irene Stanley, of Durham, NC, as well as many nieces and grandnieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Stanley; and brother, Ed Stanley, all of Oil City, Pennsylvania.

He leaves behind a strong legacy at Kirtland Air Force Base Commissary where he was a grocery manager for 20 years.  He loved golf and traveled to many places during his service.  He learned from all his grandkids but he really learned how to tolerate weird music, long haired yankee hippie friends, Christina’s cooking, and the weirdness of Snapchat.

Bill will be remembered for the way he passed and how he lived: by his own rules, strong, and with integrity.  He passed in his home, surrounded by love and rocking his Mellow Yellow t-shirt.  He will be severely missed by all who loved him and those who were lucky enough to sit and bs with him.

Honorary Pallbearers: Victoria Coverdale, Thomas Dubriel, Isaiah Boland, Shiloh Boland, Paul Coverdale, Richard Boland, Josh Cleary, and Dylan Rich.

Going to miss you old man……
