Barbara J. Watson was born on Friday, November 14 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to Winford Watson and Jeanette Watson. She was the youngest of four children. The family moved to Albuquerque, NM when Barbara was just a small child which is where she spent the reminder of her life. Barbara graduated high school from Del Norte High School in 1970. She then worked for a concrete company while she put herself through nursing school. She graduated as a nurse from the University of Albuquerque in 1982. She worked for Presbyterian Hospital her entire nursing career, 42 years, in various departments including Critical Care and Care Coordination. She retired from Presbyterian Care Connection in the spring of 2018. Barb was an excellent craftsman, she could knit or crochet anything, she made stained glass, she quilted, she stamped, she tatted, she made cards, she loved a good project and being artistic. She loved spending time in her backyard under the gazebo with her beloved turtles. Barbara was generous beyond belief to anyone around her, a natural caregiver, she would offer help or prayer anytime she could. Barbara was an avid reader and loved a good game of sudoku. She loved visits from her family, especially her sister-in-law Tish, nephews Kory and Shawn, niece Kelly and great niece Kendyl. Despite never having children of her own she was always taking care of others, she was kind and generous to everyone she knew. Barbara was the best gift giver, always putting thought and love into choosing gifts for her loved ones. she was a great nurse, an amazing friend, and a truly wonderful person with a heart of gold.
