Essie Lee Singletary was born October 8, 1943 to Doris and Louise Broadnax in Albuquerque, NM. Essie is survived by Uncle Samuel and Aunt Pamela, Hester all of Albuquerque, NM. Her children, Alvin residing in Los Angeles California, Earl, Andre, Bobby and Debra all live in Albuquerque, NM. Essie was also know to many and Mother Singletary, she loved collecting dolls, clothes, shoes, Jewelry, everything she got she would always say I'm going to save it for Sunday when I go to church. The things about Mother Singletary that some people didn't quite understand about her was, she was tough on her children and others because she wanted the best for everyone she encountered. Her favorite thing to say was I wont bother you, but if you ask me, I'm going to tell you the truth.  Mother Essie Singletary had a gift from God that she would use anytime the Lord lead her to pray, she used her gifts in speaking in tongues because she was determined that the Devil wasn't going to win in the individual life. Mother Essie Singletary is going to be truly missed. She loved her family and her family loved her unconditionally. Mother Singletary went to sleep September 23, 2021. Sleep on Mother, Sleep on, We know you got us up in Heaven.

Her Church Life:
Essie Singletary was saved as a child at Joylight & Wayside Church under the Supt. H. Patterson, she traveled and worked with her grandmother, Mother Mayfield, the first Missions President of the State of New Mexico. In  1986 at the Northern District meeting sister Essie Lee was a helper, an aide and an ardent worker under the late Bishop W.C Griffin along with serving Mothers: Griffin, Flurry, Jeffrey, Jones to name a few. Missionary Essie Singletary was known to a lot of church members as the Energizer church lady, if you want something done, if you think to hard, she already started the work. Along with serving the Bishop for the past 26 years as his Pastor's aide president she was a licensed evangelist missionary, Communion coordinator, (Local & Jurisdiction). Founder of the Metro Mart (2017) Vice-Chairman, Board of Directors (1998-Present). Missionary Essie Singletary will be missed by her church family. Mother Essie Singletary favorite scripture was 2 Chronicles 7:14 which she held dear to her heart, God was her life, she never wanted to miss going to church.
